Viagra Professional

What is it used for?

Viagra Professional is based on sildenafil, a safe drug that has been recently reclassified from prescription to pharmacy drug in New Zealand. It is used to potentiate erectile erection in men with inability to achieve and / or maintain erection.

Viagra Professional active substance is sildenafil citrate. You confirm to be aware of the uses, correct dosing and potential side effects of sildenafil citrate by ordering Viagra Professional from our pharmacy. In case you experience particularly bothersome side effects or adverse events that are persistent in their nature, consult your prescriber for help. Self-medicating poses serious risks for your help; doctor’s opinion is required.

Drug description

Viagra Professional (sildenafil citrate) is taken orally to fight the symptoms of erectile dysfunction (ED). It works by inhibiting the enzyme phosphodiesterase type 5, hence the name of the class to which sildenafil belongs, PDE5 inhibitors. Blocking PDE5 helps to release the substance called cyclic guanosine monophosphate, a precursor of nitric oxide (NO). The increase of NO in blood expands blood vessels and boosts vascular blood inflow in the penile erectile bodies.

Doses and instructions for use

Viagra Professional only works in the presence of sexual stimulation and it is taken before its effects are required. Take a pill of Viagra Professional, swallowing it whole with a half or full glass of water, 40 to 60 minutes before you plan to have sex.

Viagra Professional is available in the dose of sildenafil 100mg. This is the maximal recommended dose of the drug, and it should only be taken in the absence of contraindications. It is not recommended in geriatric populations.

Pharmacological incompatibilities

The pharmacological incompatibilities of Viagra Professional, or rather, of sildenafil citrate, are conditioned by its vasoactive characteristics and its way of metabolizing. Thus, Viagra Professional should not be taken with substances that promote drop in blood pressure (alpha-blockers, organic nitrites, nitrate donors, drugs used for pain chest). Do not take Viagra Professional in combination with drugs against fungal infections and HIV/AIDS drugs.

Cautious use

Sildenafil has been in active use for more than 20 years, and its effects have been very well studies in both short term and long term use. It is well tolerated by people with comorbidities and even has potential for improving cardiovascular conditions. However, certain caution should be employed when the drug is used by older citizens and those with other health conditions to be taken into account, especially with diseases of the excretory system.
