Before
and After Pictures
At
Family Dental Care, we understand how having a great smile can have
a positive impact on a persons life. Owning a smile that you are
proud of can improve your self image, enhance your self confidence
and change your entire life. Dr. Sepahbody is continually taking
courses on the newest techniques and materials to stay on the cutting
edge of cosmetic dentistry. He can help you achieve the smile that
you have always wanted through a variety of "state of the art" techniques
including: BLEACHING and VENEERS
(tooth facings).
BLEACHING
Bleaching is a conservative way of whitening teeth. Many daily habits
such as smoking and coffee drinking over a long period of time,
can cause our teeth to become stained and unattractive. If this
is the case with your teeth, bleaching may be a fast and inexpensive
way to brighten your smile. During your initial visit we will take
an impression of your teeth and fabricate a tray which you will
fill with our tooth whitening gel and wear one to two hours a day.
After one to two weeks of use, most of our patients experience significant
results without permanently changing the shape or size of the teeth.
PORCELAIN
AND COMPOSITE VENEERS
There are situations where bleaching alone simply will not be enough
to create the special smile that you desire. In these situations,
we may recommend porcelain or composite veneers (facings) in order
to achieve that perfect smile. Some examples of situations where
veneers would be an effective treatment include: repairing chipped
teeth, closing spaces between teeth, changing the shape or size
of teeth and covering up deep staining.
Planning
Your New Smile
After listening to your specific concerns at your initial visit,
Dr. Sepahbody will carefully examine the current condition of your teeth. We
will then help you select the color, shape and size that are just
right for you.
Preparation
The preparation of the teeth consists of removing a small amount
of enamel (approximately one millimeter), to make room for a very
thin porcelain or composite veneer. An impression is taken at this
time, and sent to our lab for veneer fabrication.
Giving
You Your New Smile
At your next appointment, the new veneers are bonded into place
permanently. We use a very strong bonding material which ensures
that your veneers will remain firmly attached to your teeth. You
will leave our office that day, proud and eager to show off your
new smile.
